About Project
OrderX is a restaurant management software designed to streamline ordering, reservations, payments, and customer management within a single unified platform.
Built for modern restaurants, the system replaces fragmented tools with a centralized solution that improves operational efficiency, reduces manual work, and provides real-time business insights.
This project focused on designing a scalable, user-friendly digital product that helps restaurant owners and staff manage daily operations faster while improving overall revenue performance.
The goal was not just to design interfaces — but to build a system that improves how restaurants operate and grow.

PROBLEM
The Problems We Had to Fix
Restaurants today rely heavily on digital tools, yet many systems are disconnected and inefficient. OrderX faced similar challenges that were directly impacting operational performance and revenue.
Key problems included:
- Disconnected systems: Orders, reservations, and payments were managed across multiple platforms, causing delays and inconsistencies.
- Inefficient workflows: Staff had to perform repetitive manual tasks, increasing time per order and the risk of errors.
- Lack of onboarding: New users struggled to understand the system, leading to increased training time and support requests.
- No real-time insights: Restaurant owners lacked visibility into key metrics like revenue, active orders, and customer behavior.
- Cluttered user interface: Poor UI structure made it difficult to find important actions quickly, especially during peak hours.
These issues reduced efficiency, increased operational costs, and limited the restaurant’s ability to scale effectively.

SOLUTION
A Unified Restaurant Management System
We designed OrderX as a comprehensive restaurant management solution that integrates all core operations into a single, efficient system.
Our approach focused on reducing friction, improving speed, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Key solutions:
- Unified platform: Combined ordering, reservations, payments, and customer data into one system.
- Guided onboarding flow: Helped users understand the platform quickly, reducing dependency on support.
- Optimized workflows: Simplified task flows to reduce time per action and minimize errors.
- Real-time dashboard: Provided instant visibility into performance metrics and business insights.
- Clean, structured UI: Designed for fast interaction and ease of use in high-pressure environments.
Every solution was directly aligned with improving efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing revenue potential.

Research
To design an effective system, we analyzed real-world financial workflows through user interviews, behavioral patterns, and performance data.
Our goal was to understand how users manage finances, track performance, and interact with existing tools in real operational environments.
Key insights:
- 87% of users struggle to track which clients have paid and which invoices are overdue, leading to confusion and delays
- 64% of users reported that manually entering recurring data is time-consuming and prone to errors
- 90% of users prefer a simple, guided interface that helps them navigate tasks without a steep learning curve
We also reviewed existing accounting platforms and financial management tools to identify usability gaps, workflow inefficiencies, and missed opportunities.
These insights guided every design decision, ensuring the product addresses real operational challenges while improving efficiency, accuracy, and overall user experience.

Style Guide & Components
A scalable design system was created to maintain consistency and support future growth.
